The cable jacket, connectors are high quality no question. The 3.5mm connector pin must be of a non-standard length. Tried it on my Compaq computer and Apple MP3 player. In both cases the connector would not make a clean stereo connection. I had to use a barrel connector and a short jumper with 3.5mm males to make a clean connection to either device. NOT what I expected on a premium quality cable. May have to return and try a different length hoping the 3.5mm plug is standard one.

This is the best cable I've ever seen for connecting an MP3 player or the headphone jack of a laptop to an unbalanced input. Total overkill, especially for MP3's (how much precision electrically do you really need for that kind of lossy format?). But I wanted it to match the other cables I was ordering for my system, and it does, and I'm sure that if the world lasts that long, this cable could well outlive me...I don't think I could break it under normal use in several hundred years.
