This 1000 foot black 14/2 fire alarm / security cable comes in a convenient spool. The cable is composed of 2 14 AWG (American Wire Gauge) wires inside of a FPL rated moisture resistant outer jacket with water blocking materials (Aquaseal). The primary use of this cable is for power limited fire circuits, but it also finds use in the wiring of security systems. (Often one finds the two systems are closely tied together.)Our security/fire alarm cables listed as FPL (Fire-Power Limited-Riser) meet characteristics defined under UL 1685. This cable is intended for general use and trays, not plenum spaces or riser areas.
