Something not quite right with this cable as well as with the Mini DisplayPort to DVI cable. With both of my Samsung displays the display would go dark occasionally for 3-5 seconds.I could work.... But.... Bought another cable from Apple that works fine. Could be a Samsung issue - but be warned. B.

This is our third purchase of these adapters and all have worked fine. Except - one went bad after a months use and CableWholesale sent us a replacement very quickly.

All four of these worked fine on our Macbook aluminum 13in laptops. We've had some trouble with other DisplayPort-VGA adapters not being recognized by the OS but these work perfectly. Unlike the Apple brand DisplayPort adapter, the VGA male cables fit properly on these adapters.

These adapters work fine with the Aluminum Macbooks. They work OK (usually 800x600) when plugged in while the computer is running but always go to the highest available resolution on reboot. The VGA end is better designed than the OEM. This adapter allows the VGA cable thumbscrews to be used to make a secure connection.
