Product Description
This DisplayPort Male to HDMI Female adapter cable allows you to connect a computer with DisplayPort output into a monitor or TV with an available HDMI input. This adapter cable is about 6 inches long from tip to tip. Simply plug the DisplayPort Male end of this adapter into the DisplayPort output on your computer/laptop. You will then need a standard HDMI male to male cable to connect this adapter to your monitor or television. (HDMI cables sold separately). This adapter is unidirectional, it will only convert from DisplayPort to HDMI. It will not provide any signal if you try to connect an HDMI computer or device to a DisplayPort monitor.
This adapter supports audio, DisplayPort 1.2, and is backward compatible with previous DisplayPort versions. It is plug n play and transmits TMDS signals. This will also support 4K@60Hz high definition resolution and 3D video formats with 1080p@60Hz+.

I was having a problem where the display settings were reverting to display on 2 only. I had a radeon rx 480 and an internal intel display adapter. Without the diplayport adaptors, I had each monitor on a different card. Once I installed the displayport adaptors, it went back to expanded dispays automatically.
